State Testing...here we come!

New York State testing is right around the corner!  After a week off from school, we return on Monday and start testing on Tuesday morning - should be fun! How long are your tests?  We have 3 days of testing for ELA (90 min. each day) and 3 days of Math (90 min. each day). Oh, and don't forget Science - 2 days!

  1. That feels like so much testing, especially right after break. :( We test for a total of 5 days, but they are spread out in three separate windows. It sort of turns things into a testing season.

    Good luck to your students!

  2. We test for 4 days. One day for each subject: Reading LA, Math, Science, & Social Studies. Each test has 2 parts. It take almost all morning to finish both parts for each test...

  4. That cartoon is so true! I think test makers need to see and meet some of the kiddos who take the tests....especially those who have come so far but may not have a test score that reflects that.

I am happy to be your newest follower and would love for you to come visit me when you get the chance.

Good luck to you and your kiddos. =)

  5. Hi!
I found your blog through TBTS. Good job on meeting your goals!
We have four days of testing in California. --2 ELA and 2 Math--untimed. They average about 90 minutes, but some kids take a lot longer... and some kids are done in 20 minutes asking, "What can I do now?"

I'm glad to be a new follower,

  6. I love the cartoon...sooo true. Square peg into a round hole sort of thing. Very unfair.
Also, thanks for checking out my blog!
